Important Notice to Unitholders

A&P Macau Pacatas Money Market Fund Unitholders General Meeting: 20 October 2026 (first call) or 27 October 2026 (second call), 14:30.

  • Why we are asking for your approval
Macau’s new Investment Funds Law took effect on 1 January 2026. Under this framework, AMCM Notice No. 024/2025 sets out the investment categories permitted for money market funds. We seek your approval to update the Fund’s rules to include these options, consistent with international money market fund practice.
  • Government and other high-quality short-term securities
Eligible instruments from the People’s Bank of China, Hong Kong’s Exchange Fund and the US Treasury provide alternatives to bank deposits, helping spread the Fund’s investments beyond banks.
  • Bank certificates of deposit (CDs)
These complement fixed deposits, offering more choice of investment periods. They may also be sold before maturity when market conditions allow, providing another way to meet cash needs.
  • Other money market funds
These provide access to a broader range of short-term investments, helping diversify the Fund’s portfolio.
  • Hedging instruments
Used exclusively to help protect the Fund against adverse market movements, never for speculation.
  • What this means for you
More flexibility to spread investments and manage cash, within the same investment limits. The Fund’s objectives remain unchanged: preserving capital, keeping money available and earning income in line with the money market.
